McDonagh vs Meli Irish title fight falls down last minute
The Irish super middleweight title fight between JJ McDonagh and Alfredo Meli has been called off.
Champion McDonagh was due to defend the title he won back in 2012 by defeating Lee Murtagh for the first time against the Belfast fighter at the York Hall.
However, the fight fell through last minute with some suggesting the Westmeath man failed to make the agreed catch weight.
The Boxing Union of Ireland today confirmed the clash won’t be going ahead tomorrow.
Unfortunately tomorrow night's Irish Super Middleweight title fight between JJ McDonagh and Alfredo Meli is off.
