McCullough’s Spainish trip cancelled

In some disappointing news, Marco McCullough’s fight in Madrid this Friday has been cancelled.

The Belfast featherweight had been due to box on the undercard of Madrid’s Ruddy Encarnacion’s EBU featherweight title bout with Sofiane Takoucht – but the card has been cancelled due to promotional issues.

McCullough was aiming to secure a shot at Encarnacion in Belfast, if he impressed against scheduled opponent – Zoltan Kovacs of Hungary.

However the 25 year old must now deal with another setback after an injury and inactivity-filled 2015.

Another Cyclone Promotions boxer, Josh Pritchard, was also due to fight on the bill in his third professional fight.
