McCloskey to name an opponent early next week

By Jonny Stapleton

Paul McCloskey will whittle three potential opponents down to one over the weekend and will announce an April adversary early next week.

‘Dudey’ has been actively seeking a big name to pack out the Odysseys and move him closer to a second world title tilt over the last five months, but his star search hasn’t  proved too fruitful as Zab Judah, Marcos Maidanna, Michael Katsidis amongst others refused to come to Belfast.

Team McCloskey informed www.irish-boxing.com that they are in talks with two American fighters and an English pug and revealed they have set a deadline to ensure an opponent will be named Tuesday.
