Marco McCullough has British title fight moved

Belfast featherweight Marco McCullough [16(10)-3(2)] has seen the date changed for his British title fight with Ryan Walsh [21(10)-2(0)-1].

The Shankill man was due to challenge for the belt on Saturday May 6th at the Copper Box Arena in London, where he was hoping to stop the Norfolk boxer from making a third successful and winning the belt outright.

This fight has now been pushed back two weeks and will take place on Saturday May 20th at the same venue.

The move comes following the confirmation of the IBF super featherweight title fight between American wonderkid Gervonta Davis and Liam Walsh, twin brother of Ryan.

Rather than Queensberry holding two cards in two weeks at the same venue, and considering the familial links, the entire May 6th card will now feature as the undercard to the world title clash.

This includes another British title fight, at welterweight, between Bradley Skeete and Shayne Singleton, as wll as appearancees for Boy Jones, Sunny Edwards, Ben Smith, Billy Long, Sanjeev Sahota, Archie Sharp, Lucien Reid, Lerrone Richards, Sammy McNess, Daniel Dubois, Anthony Yarde, and a bout between Joe Pigford and Dublin-Londoner Aarron Morgan.

First for McCullough however is an eight round warm-up fight on Friday night at the Waterfront Hall in Belfast against Leonel Hernandez.
