Lou Dibella confirms ‘significant’ chance Lee will defend against Quillin

LOU Di Bella confirmed that Andy Lee will most likely make his the first defence of his WBO world title against Peter Quillin in New York in April.

The Star newspaper via respected Irish boxing writer Gerry Callan confirmed the Limerick man had received a substantial offer to put his title on the line against the former Champion.

There was no official word from team Lee as to what was next, but promoter DiBella expects to officailly confirm a title fight between Lee and ‘Kid Chocolate’ very soon.

“It’s in discussions and a significant possibility and it will resolve itself very soon,” said Lou DiBella, to ESPN.
