Lindsay triumphs in Italy
17 May 2008 – by Mark Doyle
Up-and-coming featherweight Martin Lindsay maintained his proud undefeated record with a comfortable win over Marc Callaghan in Torino, Italy on Friday night.
The Ontario-based Northern Irishman was always in complete control against Callaghan, a former British super-bantamweight title challenger, and coasted to a comfortable points win on the undercard of Colin Lynes’ European light-welterweight defeat by Gianluca Branco.
Lindsay, who impressed those at ringside with his incredible speed and superb technical ability, is now expected to face the winner of John Simpsons British title defence against John Simpson in Glasgow on June 6.
