Lindsay tickets now on sale
17 January 2009 – Press Release
Tickets for the intriguing March 7 British featherweight title showdown between Paul Appleby and Martin Lindsay are now available to buy from the Ulster Hall Box Office.
Tickets priced at 30 and 70 can be purchased directly by calling 02890 334 455.
Leading featherweights Appleby and Lindsay top the bill on March 7 at the Ulster Hall in Belfast with the coveted Lonsdale title at stake.
Both 13-0 as budding professionals, champion Appleby is the current Boxing Writers’ ‘Young Boxer of the Year’, while Belfast challenger Lindsay scored the ‘Knockout of 2008’ in his eliminator bout with Derry Mathews last September. Already earmarked as one of the most exciting domestic bouts of 2009, Appleby vs. Lindsay is a 50/50 affair that promises to produce plenty of fireworks.
“These two kids are the best young featherweights in Britain right now and they’re gearing up to put it on the line against each other,” explains Hayemaker Head of Boxing Dave Coldwell.
“Both boxers are taking a risk here and are taking the kind of fight that a lot of other young up-and-coming fighters might shy away from. Credit to both for delivering a genuinely competitive domestic fight. They’re both meeting at the right time in their respective careers and British boxing benefits as a result.”
