British featherweight champion Martin Lindsay has been added to promoter Frank Maloneys world title card next month.

Nottinghams Jason Booth heads the bill when he challenges Steve Moiltor for the IBF world super-bantamweight title at Rainton Meadows Arena, Houghton-le-Spring on Saturday September 11.

Belfasts Lindsay, 28, will keep busy when he boxes an eight round non-title contest against a selected opponent on the undercard of a show being televised live by Sky Sports.

Promoter Frank Maloney is hopeful Lindsay (16-0) could be a world title challenger in the next 12 months.

Martin is closing in on a European title shot and I am certain that sometime next year he will be challenging for a world title in his hometown,” he said.

Martin brings excitement to the ring and the more exposure he gets the more popular he will become.

In the chief supporting contest London Matthew Marsh (13-2) will meet undefeated Scot Kris Hughes (12-0) for the vacant Commonwealth super-bantamweight crown.

Marsh controversially lost on an 11th round cuts stoppage to Booth in February and will have one eye on the winner of the world title clash.

Tickets for the massive night of action are available from 0871 226 1508 or www.frankmaloney.com.
