Lightening ready to strike on Paddy’s weekend
Dean Byrne makes his ring return in Wembley on March 16.
Irish Lightening will strike again on the under card of George Groves and Kenny Andersons clash in the Wembley Arena.
Last time out the Dubliner and former Wild Card fighter filled in for Frankie Gavin and challenging Frank Haroche Horta at very short notice and just seven days after he registered a win over Michael Frontin.
Byrne subsequently lost his unbeaten record but gained a lot of plaudits for saving an entire card. The former Crumlin amateur will be looking to get back to winning ways on a weekend that will also see Eamonn O’Kane, Carl Frampton, Thomas Hardwick, Seanie Monaghan, Danny O’Connor and Matthew Macklin in action.
