19 December 2008 – By Cormac Campbell

Andy Lee will return to the ring early in the New Year, after recovering from a nasty cut above his right eye.

The Detroit based, Limerickman was speaking to irish-boxing radio and said that he is already back in training.

Oisin Fagan has told irish-boxing.com that he may be out of the ring for a year after sustaining a broken shin in the first round of his contest with Amir Khan.

Fagan was stopped in the second round but later went under the knife. His leg will now be in a cast for six months before an additional six months rehabilitation. Speaking on the irish-boxing radio show, which will be available for download on January 1, Fagan said he is confident of defying the doctors and returning to the ring sooner than expected.

The January radio show will also feature interviews with Paulie Hyland, Jim Rock and Darren Sutherland.
