Lee not the only Irish fighter to put a title on the line against Saunders
It’s not quite the WBO World middleweight title, but Gearoid Clancy will put a title on the line against a Saunders before the year is out.
Galway’s Gearoid Clancy puts his New South Wales lightweight on the line against Brendan Saunders at the aptly named Punchbowl on November 20.
Clancy claimed the title by beating John Min for the second time in July, but lost in his last outing, a non title six round points reverse at the gloves of Issaka Issah.
However, the Oughterard BC graduate will be confident he can retain his title in New South Wales when he trades leather with the 3-2 puncher.
