Kofi Yates [13(1)-2(0)] impressed so much last time out on the Tony Bellew-Ilunga Makabu undercard that Eddie Hearn has booked him again.

The Manchester-born light welterweight lost a close ten-round war to Tom Farrell at Goodison Park in May in what was a British title eliminator.

‘Casper will now be back in a big fight on October 7th at The SSE Hydro in Glasgow, live on Sky Sports, on the undercard of Ricky Burns’s first defence of his WBA light welterweight World title against Kiryl Relikh.

Here he will face undefeated Matchroom starlet Charlie Flynn [8(1)-0] for WBA Inter-Continental title. The Scot won Commonwealth gold in 2014, defeating Belfast’s Joe Fitzpatrick in the final. The 22 year old will be stepping up from six rounds for the first time for the fight.

First for 24 year old Yates however is a bout on the VIP Promotions ‘A City Divided’ show at the Victoria Warehouse in Manchester on Saturday September 17th against a to-be-announced opponent.
