Kofi Yates to return to the ring next month

Kofi Yates [13(1)-2(0)] will next month return to the ring for the first time since his British title eliminator loss to Tom Farrell.

‘Capser’ will fight on the VIP Promotions ‘A City Divided’ card at the Victoria Warehouse in Manchester on Saturday September 17th against a to-be-confirmed opponent.

The Arnie’s Gym light welterweight last fought in May against home-favourite Farrell at Goodison Park on the televised portion of the Bellew-Makabu undercard, losing a close and very entertaining ten-round fight.

The card will be headlined by a BBBoC Central Area super featherweight title fight between Alex Rutter and Kallum De’Ath. Michael Gomez Jr [5(1)-0] was initially pencilled in to be Rutter’s opponent for the vacant title clash but the Manchester-Longford prospect has since withdrawn to take a break from fighting, recharge, and move down to a lower weight.
