‘KO Queen’ O’Leary latest addition to Cork’s first pro show in a decade
The Leeside Revolution undercard is taking shape and there is a strong Munster feel to proceedings.
Cork is well represented by headliner Noel Murphy, who will fight for the Irish title on July 20, as well as teen amateur Tommy Hyde, who trades leather with the vest on in an intermission bout.
Limerick ticket seller Graham McCormack was announced on the card yesterday and now another Limerick as well as Kerry box has been ticked.
It was today confirmed that Limerick resident and Kerry native Siobhan O’Leary [2(1)-0] will fight on the first pro show to go to Cork in over a decade.
The ‘KO Queen’ is the second Boxing Ireland fighter to be confirmed on the Neptune Stadium hosted Martin Horgan promoted card.
Speaking on social media O’Leary said:
“Delighted to announce my next fight will be on the Leeside Revolution Show in Corks Neptune’s Stadium on July 20th. Thanks to Boxing Ireland Promotions and to Martin Horgan for the opportunity to fight on yet another big show. An hour from Kerry, an hour from Limerick, we’re gonna pack the place out and take the roof off.”
The fight against a yet to be confirmed opponent will represent the Eddie Hyland trained fighters third fight.
O’Leary got her pro career off to a sensational start with an eye catching first round victory over Klaudia Csaszar in November of last year.
In March she doubled the wins tally with a points win over teak tough Bojana Libiszewska in another entertaining affair.
Now confirmed on the show that will have a bonus Muaythai World Title fight event between 4pm and 6.30 are Murphy, McCormack, O’Leary and Hyde.
More undercard fights are set to be confirmed in the coming weeks.
