Knockout return for Steve Collins Jr
A slimmed-down Steve Collins Jr proved last night that he wasn’t lying when he said he would punch holes in people.
The Wolfhound scored a first round stoppage victory over debutant Tyrell Bates at the House of Blues in Boston.
The bout was the Irishman’s first in 13 months following an extended period out injured and the Celtic Warriors fighter wasted no time on his ring return.
The soon-to-be light heavyweight overwhelmed his American opponent to claim a resounding victory.
The win sees Collins move to 6(2)-0-1 as a professional.
