Kieran Farrell signs two more Belfast amateur talents

Kieran Farrell has added a further two top-quality signings to his ever-growing stable of Irish talent.

The young promoter has signed up promising Belfast amateurs Sean Higginson and Padraig McCrory ahead of his first show in the city. Between them the pair have almost 300 amateur contests and multiple Irish underage titles.

22 year old Higginson boxed out of the St John Bosco club and reached the bantamweight final of the 2015 Senior Elite Championships where he was defeated by Kurt Walker. Higginson will be trained in the pros by the legendary John Breen.

28 year old McCrory fought out of Gleann ABC and was 2014 Ulster Senior Elite champion at light heavyweight. In the pros he will be trained by young Belfast trainer and former Irish light middleweight champ Dee Walsh.

Debut dates for both will be announced in the near future.

The pair join Dylan Moran, Sean McGlinchey, Gerard Healy, Mathew Fitzsimons, Mark Morris, Sean Magee, Dan McShane, and Joe Hillerby.

Farrell’s first Belfast show – titled ‘A New Era’ – will take place at the Devenish Complex on Saturday April 22nd. The card will be headlined by Feargal McCrory in an eight-round minor title fight and will also feature McGlinchey, Fitzsimons, McShane, Hillerby, Magee, and a clash between Healy and Tommy ‘Irish’ Carter.

Tickets are available from the boxers involved at the following prices:
£20 (standing)
£35 (unreserved seating)
£60 (VIP table seating).
