Keeler off August 1st Matchroom bill

In some unfortunate news, Dublin middleweight Luke Keeler will no longer box on the August 1st Mathroom-promoted ‘Rumble on the Humber’ bill in Hull.

The 28 year old has been out of action since suffering a hand injury in his unsuccessful tilt at the Prizefighter middleweights title.

Keeler however impressed enough to be rewarded with a Matchroom deal and had been scheduled to appear on the undercard of the Tommy Coyle-Luke Campbell WBC International title fight at the Craven Park Stadium.

Keeler’s return to the ring has now been postponed till early September (possibly the September 12th London show in the O2 Arena) and the hard-punching Ballyfermott man will be hoping to make up for lost time when he steps through the ropes again.

The Dubliner has said that he will confirm details of his next fight as early as tomorrow(Friday July 17).
