Kavanagh extends unbeaten record
By Jonny Stapleton
Irish lightweight prospect Jamie Kavanagh over came a first round cut to eventually stop Cesar Cisneros (3-4-2, 1 KO) in Texas on Saturday night.
‘The Nuisance’ was eager to put on a show having stuttered somewhat in his last outing and certainly achieved his pre fight goal. Despite being cut early on Kavanagh didn’t see red and put his opponent to the sword via a skillful yet aggressive display.
The Golden Boy fighter got cut revenge by round three and was applying so much destructive pressure the referee had to halt proceedings 2 minutes and 28 seconds into the fifth.
