Katie Taylor: I won’t relax until I have gold around my neck

IT seems Katie Taylor’s favourite colour is Gold!

The female fight phenom secured another major medal with victory in Baku on Wednesday, but in far from content with Bronze.

Indeed, Taylor warned her lightweight rivals she is going for gold and won’t rest till she has secured podium top spot.

Speaking after her unanimous points win over Sweden’s Ida Lundblad and ahead of her semi final with Yana Alekseevna the Bray BC star said she wants to go all the way.

“I’m not settling for a bronze medal,” Taylor told reporters after the fight.

“I always come into these competitions hoping for a gold medal so I won’t really relax until I have a gold medal around my neck.
