John Joe Nevin will return to the ring on August 25 when he trades leather in New York.
The Olympic silver medalist hasn’t fought since November of last year, when he came back from a horrific double leg break to claim stop Jack Heath in the 3Arena.
Some out of the ring issues seemed to further hamper the talents progress, but the 26 year old former amateur stand out now has a date to focus on.
Kevin Byrne of the Sun also revealed Nevin has put together a new team and will train out of Philadelphia.
Nevin will work with renowned manager Cameron Dunkin as well as Tom Moran and is hoping to catch the eye of AL Haymon, who is behind the PBC revolution.
