The ‘John Duddy’ of Australia is ready to conquer America
DENNIS ‘Hurricane’ Hogan has destroyed all before him in Australia and is now ready to reek havoc Stateside.
Having added the WBA Oceania light middleweight title to his Queensland titles and his Australian middleweight belt with victory over Steve Moxon on Sunday the Kildare native is ready to pursue the American dream.
The IBF ranked #14 in the world, who moved into the WBA top 15 with last weekends win and now having conquered OZ and secured a favourable World ranking the undefeated Irish fighter is ready to dip his toe in American waters.
There have been ‘big fight’ rumours for the last number of weeks, but a card, venue and indeed opponent have yet to be confirmed.
However, Greg Cohen, who co promotes Hogan with Adam Wilcock confirmed is Stateside set.
“Adam and I are now planning to have him make his American debut this summer,” Cohen told World Boxing News.
“Dennis is that type of Irish fighter than has that special connection with his fans, like a John Duddy. He is a special kid and we are excited to bring him to the world stage. The boxing world (should) get ready for a new star middleweight from Ireland/Australia. We will have an announcement about his arrival in America very soon.”
