Joe Gallagher: Scott Quigg will KO Carl Frampton early

Scott Quigg’s trainer has made a bold claim ahead of his showdown with Carl Frampton on February 27th at the Manchester Arena. Coach Joe Gallagher predicts that his charge will stop ‘The Jackal’ early in what will be an easy fight for Quigg.

Speaking yesterday at the opening leg of the pair’s press tour in London, Gallagher explained that “I’m very confident going into this fight. I think he [Quigg] will win, and I’ve said it all along – this will be an easier fight than what people think.”

The Manchester trainer then reasoned that “Carl will come out, revert back to being amateur, box and move, box and move, as soon as he gets hit he’ll hold.”

Gallagher concluded with a statement that will be bookmarked for future reference by fight fans all over the world. The 46 year old claimed that “there’ll be a lot of trash talk between now and February the 27th, but I’ve said it before and I’ll say it now on record that this fight will end early. He can’t take the power, he just can’t take the power.”

We will certainly see on February 27th whether Gallagher end up with egg on his face or if he has made a shrewd call.
