Joe Gallagher: Frampton has returned his tickets unsold!

Joe Gallagher has sensationally claimed that Carl Frampton has returned a portion of his tickets ahead of the super bantamweight unification clash with Scott Quigg.

Quigg’s trainer made the revelation when speaking to Behind the Gloves this evening after the open workouts at the Trafford Centre in Manchester.

The Sligo-Manchester coach questioned Team Frampton’s assertion that the Manchester Arena will feel like Belfast on Saturday night.

Gallagher stated that “Carl can’t even sell his ticket allocation, he returned tickets this week.”

“This big ‘fanbase’ that’s gonna come over – and I’m pleased that it’s more than the 10 he brought to America – but they cant sell it.”

“And I think they’ve been very disrespectful to the people of Manchester saying that it’s going to be like Belfast.”

“You wait and turn round and see what it’s gonna be like on Saturday.”

Whether Gallagher is privy to inside information or is just playing mind games we will not know until Friday. However, considering the amount of Irish fans currently searching for tickets as well as a handful of brass-necked Jackalites who bought tickets via Quigg’s chip shop in Bury, Gallagher’s claim may have to be taken with a pinch of salt.
