Joe Fitzpatrick: Meli is going to do Cummings, he’s unstoppable!

Alfredo Meli’s Immaculata stablemate Joe Fitzpatrick feels his training partner will have too much for Cyclone star Conrad Cummings when the pair meet at the Waterfront Hall on November 20th.

The Ulster middleweight duo fight for the BBBoC Celtic title on the Cyclone Promotions ‘All on the Line’ card next month and Commonwealth Games silver medalist Fitzpatrick believes there will be only one winner.

The lightweight starlet spoke to the Irish News at the weekend following his stoppage victory on the ‘Champions at the Europa’ dinner show, and is confident Meli can cause an upset.

Fitzpatrick is confident that “Alfredo Meli is going to kill him, he’s going to do him big time.”

The 20 year old reasoned that “Fredo is a workhorse, you want to see him in the gym – he’s flat-out training every day, he’s unstoppable, he’s a machine. He’s going to be too much for Cummings I think.

The young southpaw also believes that Meli’s need to work a full-time job won’t affect the outcome, as “It doesn’t matter that Cummings is a full-time pro, Fredo is a better boxer in my eyes.”

Tickets for ‘All on the Line’ are available from £35 and can be bought from: The boxers involved / www.cyclonepromotions.com / www.waterfront.co.uk / or by calling 028 9033 4400.
