Jason Quigley to fight on Canelo-Khan undercard?

Jason Quigley could make an appearance on one of the biggest cards in World boxing this year.

The Golden Boy prospect is being lined up for a slot on the undercard of the Canelo Alvarez v Amir Khan super fight on May 7th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

The Donegal middleweight will first fight in an eight rounder at the Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio next month, but following the March 25th bout the Irishman could be added to the PPV card in Vegas.

Speaking to BoxingScene, Golden Boy Promotions Vice President Eric Gomez tantilisingly revealed that “Jason’s going to fight in March.”

“So he’ll fight there, and after that we’ll bring him back, possibly on the Canelo card.”

“The kid is very talented and you do not have to hold back on him, he’s ready to go.”

“I just feel he’s one of our top prospects, if not our top one.”

Quigley’s stablemate and Khan will trade leather for the WBC middleweight title (fought at a 155lb catchweight) in what is one of the most shocking and hotly-anticpated clashes of recent times.

‘El Animal’ Quigley has built up a following amongst the Hispanic community on the US West Coast, and an appearance on the massive Cinco de Mayo bill would see this grow even further
