It’s next stop Miami for well-traveled Hogan
Having taken Australia by storm, Dennis ‘The Hurricane’ Hogan is ready to cause a Tornado in America.
The former Australian and Oceanic titlist and recent WBA Interim World title challenger has experience fighting in America, but will now relocate to Miami to train.
The decision ends a long and successful relationship with Aussie Steve Deller as Hogan teams up with Manuel Sagayo in a bid to progress his career forward.
Speaking on Social Media Hogan confirmed:
Myself and my long time coach Steve Deller have decided to part ways after nearly 5 great years together, I can’t thank Steve enough for what he has done for me since i landed here from Ireland and we have had some great wins as a team and for anyone looking to get a good trainer on board and your based in Brisbane i can’t recommend Steve highly enough.
But i have decided i want to take my career to the next level and that means leaving Brisbane for weeks on end to do training camps in the States where there are 100s of spars available so that’s what i am going to do , i am paying for myself in flights and accommodation to head over to Miami and train with a new coach to see where he can improve me. You get 1 shot in boxing so i have to do this to push myself both financially and mentally, life is about getting out of your comfort zones and i will go to Miami as someone who has to start again which i will do.There was nobody more disappointed in my last performance in Germany than me, but i have learned so much from it and can’t wait to get in there again.
To my sponsors thank you so much for sticking with me you are all amazing, to have you in my corner win lose or draw fills me with so much confidence , to my friends and family thanks for all the support and your belief in me.
