“It´s a win for me” says Pauly Upton ahead of Irish title fight
MGM´s Pauly Upton is fighting on Saturday night over ten rounds for the vacant Irish middleweight title. The fight is taking place in Northampton against Terry Maughan and is the eldest Upton brothers first title fight and his first since November when he beat Zoltan Turai for his 11th straight win in the pro ranks.
Upton, who fights for the title vacated by the recently retired Dee Walsh, claims he is ready for the challenge and believes he is in with the very best chance of winning,
“Training has gone great,” he said “I have worked harder for this fight more than any others as it´s my first ten rounder. I think it will go as planned and that´s a win for me whether on points or KO and me picking up the Irish title.”
