Irish squad selected for training camp in Ulster
Ireland’s Elite squad travel to the University of Ulster today for a training camp with the Ulster High Performance Development squad and Russia at the SINI Institute of Sport.
Olympic champion Katie Taylor and London 2012 Olympians Darren O’Neill and Adam Nolan, along with AIBA World Elite medallist Joe Ward and three-time EU champion David Oliver Joyce are included in the Ireland panel.
The Russian team arrived in Dublin last night ahead of the training camp which will run until May 6th.
Irish coach John Conlan said: “It’s a qualify training camp for Ulster’s High Performance boxers. It’s fantastic that we can bring some of the best boxers in Ireland and Europe in and get quality sparring.”
