Irish heavyweight Tommy McCarthy going all the way to the top says Green Blood boss

GREEN Blood chief Tom Moran has backed Tom McCarthy to become heavyweight champion of the world.

The Irish amateur international has penned a deal with the Philadelphia based stable and joins the John Joe Nevin, Tyrone McCullough, Anthony Cacace and Ray Ginley on Green Blood’s books.

Moran is excited about the two time National Senior Champion and Commonwealth gold medal winner joining the team and has backed the Belfast big man to make it all the way to the top

Moran also believes his stable of fighters will provide Irish fight fans with excitement and reason to celebrate in 2014.

“He’s a great addition to the Green Blood boxing stable. I’m really looking forward to working with Tommy and watching him progress into a world champion,” he said. “We have built up a really strong team of Irish boxers and this year will be an exciting year for Irish fight fans and for our boxers.”
