Irish fighters sign new management deals

Two Dublin fighters have signed new management deals as they look to kick on in their respective careers.

Jobstown super bantamweight Carl McDonald [2(0)-0] has linked up with Boxing Ireland Promotions, while Castleknock light heavyweight Steve Collins Jr [10(4)-1(0)-1] has joined MTK Global.

The Cobra McDonald faces a huge fight on the next Boxing Ireland card when he takes on Regan Buckley [1(0)-0] in a six-round clash on the ‘Celtic Clash 3: Building Champions’ bill on Saturday September 9th at the National Stadium.

The Tallaght fighter, trained by Eddie Hyland, is the eleventh fighter to join the reborn Boxing Ireland stable.

The Wolfhound Collins is currently rebuilding following his first defeat last month where he was outpointed by Paddy McDonagh for the Irish title.

MTK commented that “Steve is a quality boxer that can achieve great things in the sport. We look forward to working with him and strongly believe he will establish himself as a genuine force in the Light-Heavyweight division.”

Collins becomes the twenty-fifth Irish boxers on the MTK books.
