There has been some good news today for Irish fighters with the announcement of new fight dates for welterweight Tyrone McKenna and cruiserweight Gary Sweeney.
The MGM-promoted have been added to the undercard of the Frank Warren show at the Cardiff Ice Arena on July 16th.
Belfast’s McKenna [9(3)-0-1] suffered an unfortunate technical draw last month in Spain following a head clash in the first round of his fight with veteran Arvydas Trizno.
In his debut last month, ‘The Gallant’ Sweeney scored a knockout inside ninety seconds against Mario Lakatos.
The card in Wales next month is headlined the British and Commonwealth light middleweight title fight between Liam Williams and Gary Corcoran whose family hail from Galway and Roscommon and will be shown live on Boxnation.
