Irish boxer and Conor McGregor defeater joins UFC
Undefeated middleweight boxer Joesph Duffy has traded the squared circle for the octagon and has returned to mixed martial arts.
The Donegal man built up a 12-1 MMA record-Â picking up back-to-back submission wins over current UFC fighters McGregor and Norman Parke in that time- before becoming a pro boxer, making his debut in 2013. Duffy went on to win seven bouts over 11 months, but hung up his gloves in 2014.
“Irish Joe” returned to MMA in 2014, picking up two stoppage wins under the Cage Warriors Fighting Championship banner, but has now signed with has signed on with the world’s largest mixed martial arts promotion UFC and is anticipating an early 2015 debut.
