Ireland squad to take on Sweden on Valentines Day

Ireland and Sweden will clash in the National Stadium in Dublin on February 14th.

The IABA have named a top squad of Elite, Youth and Junior boxers for the meeting at the home of Irish boxing.

Agnes Alexiusson has been included in the Swedish squad for the trip to Ireland. Alexiusson beat Russia’s Anastasia Belyakova, the current AIBA World Elite 64kg champion, on a majority decision in the semi-finals of the Golden Girl Cup in Sweden last month.

Twenty four hours before the National Stadium meeting, Sweden will take on an Edenderry selection in Edenderry, Offaly.

Former AIBA World Junior champions Ciara Ginty, the 2014 Olympic Youth silver medallist, and Willie Donoghue have been named in the squad for Edenderry.
