IABA name team for European Youth & Junior Championships

15 young boxers will represent Ireland next month in Bulgaria at the 2017 European Women’s Youth and Junior Championships.

The Irish Athletic Boxing Association tonight confirmed their team for the tournament in Sofia which runs from July 2nd until July 10th.

Ireland did not enter a team in last year’s tournament due to security concerns. At the 2015 edition eight medals were won including Junior bronzes for Lauren Kelly, Katelynn Phelan, and Caitlin Fryers – who will all compete at Youth level next month
