I am coming for Golovkin, Cotto and Andy Lee says Quigley

Jason Quigley had a front row seat for Gennady Golovkin’s David Lemieux destruction, but wasn’t scared as ‘GGG’ skillfully dismantled a man meant to test him.

Indeed, watching the World champ stake his pound-for-pound number 1 claim seemed to make the Irish hotshot more excited at the prospect of reaching the top level and enjoying big fights with big names.

The Donegal Golden Boy, who boasts an 8-0 record with eight knock outs, says he is coming for the belts and believes the current champions at middleweight should feel his eyes boring a hole in the back of their necks.

By the time he reaches World level the landscape may have changed, but former World silver medal winner Quigley claims ‘GGG’, who stopped Lemieux to consolidate the WBA and IBF belts, fight legend Miguel Cotto, and fellow Irish middleweight as well as WBO custodian Andy Lee, should be looking over the shoulders because ‘El Animal is coming.

Quigley, who aided Lemieux’s preparations at a training camp in Canada told our good friends at Balls.ie

“I want the likes of ‘Triple G’ [Gennady Golovkin], Cotto, Andy Lee – I want all of these guys to be looking over their shoulders, and have their eye on me.

“I want them to know I’m creeping up on them, biting on their heels.

“I’ve no interest in a title that nobody has heard of. I want to beat the best to be the best. Whoever the best is, I’m aiming to take them out of there and take everything they have.

“These guys are where I want to be. They’re top guys and I want to get there.”#
