Hurricane Hit List – Team Dennis Hogan draws up big name 2021 wish list
Team Dennis Hogan are not dwelling on the disappointment of seeing a December world title eliminator postponed due to covid.
Within days of seeing his St Stephen’s Day, Fox Sports, bill topping light middleweight clash with former unified world champion Julian Williams [27(16)-2(2)-1] pushed back, DDP Sports revealed their 2021 fight goals.
‘The Hurricane’s promoters DDP Sports published a mouthwatering hit list, explaining who they want to fight over the next 12 months.
Obviously Williams is first up and that clash looks set to be rescheduled for early February.
Win that and DDP believe WBC, WBA and IBF world champ Jermel Charlo would be next, unless he joins his twin brother Jamal, who beat Hogan last December, in the middleweight division.
If the American was to move up the Wayne McCullough trained fighter would be looking at a fight for one of the vacant straps.
As it stands Team Hogan want Williams then Charlo, before a massive Australian clash with the son of Australian legend Kostya Tszyu, Tim Tszyu.
An all Irish bout with Gary ‘Spike’ O’Sullivan is also on the wish list. Hogan has often suggested that would the ideal homecoming clash – and if things went according to plan could be the first ever all Irish world title fight.
Former world champ Liam Smith is also a fight that appeals as does a fight with WBO light middleweight champion and ‘Spike’ target Patrick Teixeira.
