Kiko Martinez arrived in Belfast last night ahead of his massive World title fight with Carl Frampon this coming Saturday night.
The IBF super bantamweight champion of the World puts his title on the line against the Belfast favourite, Frampton in front of 16,000 fight fans at the Titanic Quarter on the 6th.
His arrival marks the first big event of what promises to be an exciting fight week. Having pulled out twice before the lost to ‘The Jackal’ in February of last year, Frampton had slight fears of the Kiko no show pre that fight, but there were no such concerns this time round as the Spaniard comes to Belfast in defiant and confident mood.
He might have received a warm Irish welcome from airport staff, but he can expect nothing less than a hostile reception when he walks to the ring on Friday night.
