Heavyweights Head To Belfast for Frampton bill
David Haye is confirmed as the main ITV studio guest for Frampton vs Avalos, and a clash of unbeaten Heavyweights featuring London’s exciting Dillian Whyte is added to the huge World title bill.
CWM Cyclone is delighted to announce former WBA Heavyweight Champion David Haye as the main studio guest for the ITV flagship channel’s coverage of the IBF World Super Bantamweight title fight on February 28 between champion Carl Frampton and Chris Avalos at the Odyssey Arena in Belfast, sponsored by CWM FX.
ITV viewers can look forward to a stellar commentary team that includes presenter Mark Pougatch, the aforementioned Haye, renowned American analyst Al Bernstein, and former World Champions Richie Woodhall and Bernard Dunne plus lead commentator Ronald McIntosh.
“I am really looking forward to going to Belfast,” Haye said. “The atmosphere will be electric as it always is for the big fights there. This fight is going to be tough and extremely exciting. A win for Carl Frampton against Chris Avalos will rubber stamp Carl’s world class credentials, but he must not take anything for granted.”
Haye added: “It’s fantastic that Barry has secured this fight to be shown on terrestrial TV. Not only will it be fantastic for Team Frampton but its also superb for boxing as the sport is back on major terrestrial television again.”
Dillian Whyte vs Beka Lobjanidze
Also appearing on the massive The World Is Not Enough card is exciting Brixton Heavyweight Dillian Whyte, who boxes Georgia’s undefeated Beka Lobjanidze. This intriguing ten-round International Heavyweight contest will be screened live and exclusively in the UK on ITV4.
Unbeaten Whyte, 13(10) – 0, faces the toughest test of his pro career against former Baku Fires WSB team member Lobjanidze, 10(8) – 0, but the big puncher is in electric form, coming off the best win of his career, a two-round destruction of the usually durable Brazilian Marcelo Luis Nascimento.
The World Is Not Enough, Frampton vs Avalos, sponsored by CWM FX, will be screened live and exclusively on ITV on Saturday the 28th of February. The action-
packed undercard featuring Whyte vs Lobjanidze plus the full build-up to Frampton vs Avalos will be live on ITV4.
