Hearn tells Burnett “I want to see how big your balls are”

Matchroom boss Eddie Hearn has reiterated his challenge to Ryan Burnett [14(9)-0] to put on a break-out performance this weekend.

Belfast’s Burnett defends his British bantamweight title on hostile ground against Scouser Ryan Farrag at the Echo Arena in Liverpool on Saturday. The bout is part of the undercard of Tony Bellew’s WBC cruiserweight title defence against BJ Flores.

Hearn believes that the career-toughest challenge posed by former European champion Farrag will act as an acid test regarding Burnett’s top level ambitions.

Hearn feels that the Youth Olympic champion will need to demonstrate serious stones to come through the fight with Farrag [16(4)-3(1)], and backs his man to do so.

Addressing Burnett, via IFL TV, Hearn demanded that “I want to see how big your balls are.”

“Let’s go out there, in someones back yard, and put on the performance I know you can give. Two World class fighters, two fighters that everybody talks so highly about, so let’s see it!”

“Let’s do it Ryan, Adam Booth’s been telling me you are one of the top fighters in World boxing, I believe it, let’s go and show it, go and do a job on Ryan Farrag in his home town. And if you can’t, perhaps you haven’t got what it takes, but let’s find out.”
