Mike Perez, Tyson Fury, Martin Rogan and Collie Barrett are grabbing the heavyweight headlines in a vocal if relatively inactive domestic scene of late, but one Irish big man going about his business quietly yet effectively is Thomas Hardwick.
The Yonkers based Dubliner registered his third successive paid victory over the weekend after out pointing Pine Bluff, Arizona’s durable Jamell Williams over four rounds.
Hardwick established his jab early against the bigger William’s but it was his right had inflicted the most damage. Williams played survivor early on as The Blanch native tried to maintain his 100 percent knock out record.
Williams remained tough but that’s about it as Hardwick shutout the southwest fighter 40-36 times three. Hardwick improves to 3-0, 2Ko’s as Williams remains winless at 0-4.
