Hardwick adds more Irish flavour to Paddys Day menu

Heavyweight prospect Thomas Hardwick will add some more Irish flavour to Lou DiBella’s Madison Square Garden March 17 fight menu.
The undefeated Dubliner hopes to continue his progression through the boxing ranks with a six round contest on the undercard of Matthew Macklin’s world title fight with Sergio Martinez.
Hardwick, who registered his fourth career victory on a Boardwalk show early this month, joins Macklin, Seanie Monaghan and if rumour is to be believed Carl Frampton on the exciting show.
Its is somewhat of a milestone for the popular New York based heavyweight’s fledgling career and he is hoping to continue his progression in the Garden and in other venues in 2012.
“I am definitely on the Paddy’s Day card. I am hoping to get six rounds in on that fight,” Hardwick told www.irish-boxing.com.
“I am happy with how things have been moving so far. I would like to fight better fights in 2012. In every fight and sparring session I am learning more about the game and about myself too. I only got touched four times in the last bout.”
At present the heavyweight is based in America and so far all his bouts have been across the Atlantic and it seems it will remain as such untill 2013.
“I would love to get home for a fight but it might not happen till 2013.”
