IT’S on again! Gary ‘Spike’ O’Sullivan and Anthony Fitzgerald look set to settle their differences in the O2 on November 15.
Ask any Irish fight fan what domestic dalliance tickles their fancy and after Macklin v Lee, ‘Spike’ v ‘Fitzy’ is top of the list. The match up was greeted with great excitement when Matchroom boss Eddie Hearn announced the Cork and Dublin rivals would fight on The Return of the Mack card set for August 30.
When that card fell through it seemed the derby most had been craving was never going to materialise.
However, the middleweight duo, who traded more verbal blows over the years than Gatti and Ward did real ones in their trilogy, look likely to meet on November 15 in the 02.
A November fight night has yet to be confirmed officially, but both camps talked positively about fighting on the undercard of a Matthew Macklin Dublin card later in the year.
