Gary Sweeney OFF Dunlop Europa show next week
Connacht cruiser Gary Sweeney has been forced to withdraw from his scheduled bout on the MHD Promotions card at the Europa Hotel in Belfast next weekend.
The MGM fighter was due to box in his third professional contest on the card next Saturday but has suffered an injury in training and will now no longer feature.
MHD Promotions chief Mark Dunlop admitted that he was “gutted” with the news of the ‘The Gallant’s’ withdrawal but is still looking forward to a top quality night of boxing.
The card next Saturday is headlined by Belfast lightweight Paul Hyland Jr who takes a step up in class to face Felix Lora. Chief support comes from Scottish super feather Ronnie Clark, while there are also appearances from Derry feather Tyrone McCullagh, Tyrone lightweight Feargal McCrory and Dublin trio Ian Tims, Jay Byrne, and debutant Carl McDonald.
