G-Train heading to Cork – McCormack added to Leeside Revolution
It’s next stop Cork for the G-Train.
Graham McCormack [4-0] is the latest name confirmed on the Leeside Revolution card and will fight in the Rebel County on Saturday July 20.
The Limerick puncher was initially meant to appear on the ‘Irish Invasion card’ set for York Hall later this month, but had to pull out of the London hosted fight night due to injury.
The light middleweight domestic title hopeful didn’t take long to announce a new fight date – and his strong following don’t have long to wait or far to go for fight number 5 of the Boxing Ireland Promotions fighter’s next bout.
It was rumoured the southpaw had a agreed to fight Leinster Rugby coach, Cillian Reardon on the York Hall show, with talk suggesting the light middleweight Celtic title would be on the line if the pair were to trade leather.
However, it doesn’t seem Reardon will be in the opposite corner come July 20 and considering the fight is being built as a step toward a BUI Celtic title shot the strap won’t be on the line in the Neptune Stadium.
McCormack joins a card topped by an Irish title fight between Macroom’s Noel Murphy and Dublin’s Jay Byrne.
Continuing his determination and push for a Celtic title shot in the future.
“The Main Event sees the return from New York of Macroom man Noely Murphy who headlines in a BUI Irish title showdown.
“Bonus to this event is front runner WBC Muaythai World Title fight event ,which kicks off at 4pm and Boxing from 6.30.”
