Bad news for Fury as opponent withdraws with just two days to go

Hughie Fury [17(9)-0] has been dealt a blow with the withdrawal of Adnan Redzovic, himself a late replacement for Nicolai Firtha, from their fight on Saturday.

Fury was due to face the Bosnian on the undercard of his cousin’s heavyweight title challenge against Wladimir Klitschko at the 55,000-capacity ESPRIT Arena.

The younger Fury, 21, will still appear on the bill however a new opponent has yet to be confirmed.

It has been purported by BoxingScene.com that the withdrawal of Redzovic was influenced by a drugs suspension.

The elder Fury himself made headlines earlier in the week with comments regarding drug use in boxing.
