FULL FIGHT: Stephen ‘Shortty’ Carroll v Jamesy ‘The Chin’ Gorman
There was all-Irish action at the weekend, with a Celtic Nations light welterweight scrap between Stephen Carroll and Jamesy Gorman in Belfast.
The Shorts Sports and Social Club played host to the eight-round bout, and Dubliner Carroll would emerge victorious on the card with a close but clear (78:76) win over the journeyman-turned-home favourite
It was a step-up win for the Ballyfermot puncher and a career-best performance, while it was a rare chance for the respected Gorman to do his thing in front of a home crowd over a longer format.
