FULL FIGHT: Paddy Gallagher v Tamuka Mucha

Paddy Gallagher came up just short in his British title eliminator in London last night.

The Belfast welter took on the unbeaten Tamuka Mucha at the Wembley Arena and fell to a majority decision loss (95:95, 94:97 x2).

The Pat Man made a strong start and had a brave finish, but the busier Zimbabwean banked enough rounds to run our a close winner. Indeed the Reading-based boxer adapted well to Gallagher’s big-hitting style and deserved the victory.

Gallagher won many plaudits for his performance in what was the Fight of the Night and will be a Fight of the Year contender at year’s end, and the popular Lenadoon man will not be too adversely affected by the loss
