The date and venue for Carl Frampton’s massive world title fight with Leo Santa Cruz has been confirmed.
‘The Jackal’ will challenge the Mexican for the WBA featherweight title in New York’s Barclay Center.
As Irish-boxing.com suggested late last week the clash will take place on July 30.
Showtime told ESPN.com that the fight will take place at the Barclays Center in New York’s Brooklyn district, while a tweet from three weight World champion Santa Cruz revealed both date and venue.
It was first rumoured the card would also play host to an Andy Lee world title shot, but Irish-boxing.com has been lead to believe their have been no Lee versus Daniel Jacobs talks as of yet.
Cyclone Promotions have also revealed Tyrone middleweight Conrad Cummings will have a slot on the undercard.
It’s New York not Las Vegas, but Vegas mad fans should check out tiki island slots.
