Frampton versus Quigg card doors and main event ring walk time
February 27 is going to be a mammoth day in Irish and British boxing in more ways than one.
Not only is it the night that Carl Frampton will settle his grudge with Scott Quigg in a fight with ‘history’; making potential on a card that could generate more income and interest than Froch Groves II, but fight fans could be treated to a whopping six hours of fight action.
Irish-boxing.com are lead to believe that massive Frampton versus Quigg card could be a marathon evening of fighting. By all accounts doors could open before 4pm with the first bout gloving off soon after.
With nine fights on the undercard it seems the action will be spread out rather than quick fire, particularly after live TV joins the Manchester Arena, but with more time to frequent the bars it could add to the atmosphere come main event time.
Irish-boxing.com are also lead to believe that the ring walks for the main event, a World title fight between Belfast’s Carl Frampton and Scott Quigg will take place between 10:30 and 10:45.
