Frampton returns home

10 May 2010 – By Cormac Campbell

Belfast boxing starlet Carl Frampton will be given the chance to showcase his skills in front of his home crowd for the first time at the Kings Hall on June 11.

The unbeaten super-bantamweight banger, named Irish Boxing’s prospect of the year in January will box on the undercard of Paul McCloskey’s European light-welterweight title defence against Guiseppe Lauri.

Frampton’s manager Barry McGuigan has told irish-boxing.com that he would like to see a British opponent for his charge to aid his rankings, but has admitted that doing so has thus far proved difficult.
